A development officer attached to the Agrian Department Officer in Wariyapola was arrested by the Wariyapola Police after he was caught redhanded selling a stock of fertilizer distributed to farmers at a private shop.
Reports say the suspect had taken 50 bundles of fertilizer from the stock which was to be given to the farmers at a concessionary price.
The suspect will be produced before the court, said the Police Media Spokesperson.
