The inter-province travel ban that is currently in effect in Sri Lanka will be lifted on the 31st of October.
Army Commander General Shavendra Silva said the travel restriction will be lifted from 04 am on 31st October.
The inter-province travel ban has been in place since an islandwide quarantine curfew was enforced in August.
The curfew was imposed due to the rapid spread of the Delta variant of the coronavirus.
The travel restriction was to be lifted on 21st October, but the authorities decided to extend it till 31st October.
