Former Parliamentarian Niroshan Premaratne has been appointed as the Chairman of state-owned Independent Television Network (ITN).
Premaratne was a popular TV presenter and producer at ITN when he entered politics in 2015.
A member of the United People’s Freedom Alliance, he was elected from the Matara District in 2015.
Even though had lost the last Parliamentary election, he has now been appointed as the Chairman of ITN.
Niroshan Premaratne met Minister of Media Dulles Alahapperuma today following his appointment and is set to assume duties tomorrow (04).
