Ajith Nivard Cabraal has been appointed as a Board Member of the “Api Venuwen Api” Fund, under the Ministry of Defence with immediate effect.
Mr. Cabraal currently serves as the Prime Minister’s Senior Advisor on Economic Affairs. He was the Governor of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka from 2006 to 2014, and the Secretary of the Ministry of Plan Implementation, prior to being the Governor.
ආරක්ෂක අමාත්යාංශය යටතේ පිහිටුවා ඇති “අපි වෙනුවෙන් අපි” අරමුදලේ ආරක්ෂක විශයභාර අමාත්යවරයා විසින් පත් කරනු ලබන සාමාජිකයෙකු වශයෙන් අජිත් නිවාඩ් කබ්රාල් මහතා පත්කොට ඇත.
කබ්රාල් මහතා වර්තමානයේ අග්රාමාත්ය ආර්ථික කටයුතු ජ්යෙෂ්ඨ උපදේශක ලෙස සේවය කරන අතර, 2006 සිට 2014 දක්වා මහ බැංකු අධිපති වශයෙන්ද, ඊට පෙර සැලසුම් ක්රියාත්මක කිරීමේ අමාත්යාංශයේ ලේකම් වශයෙන්ද සේවය කොට ඇත.
