Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) MP Chaminda Wijesiri has been suspended from Parliament for a day.
Announcing the order today, the Speaker of the Parliament Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena informed the SJB MP to leave the Parliament chambers.
The SJB MP was issued the order due to allegedly attempting to assault MP Nimal Lanza inside the chambers. .
