The Ministry of Health says there is a risk of resurgence in the spread of the COVID-19 virus once again.
Director of the Health Promotion Bureau, Specialist Dr. Ranjith Batuwanthudawa said there is a high tendency for new strains of the virus to enter the country, that could further intensify the spread of COVID-19.
He noted that the health authorities across the world are now focusing on the DELTA-PLUS variant.
