Army Commander General Shavendra Silva, the Head of the National Operations Centre for the Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO) said the government has taken steps to conduct COVID-19 tests at crowded places.
Tests will be carried out at places where crowds gather, such as markets, fish stalls, and other public places.
Tests conducted on people at Western Province exit points will also be conducted, the Army Commander added.
