Former State Minister Diana Gamage has withdrawn the petition filed before the Supreme Court, challenging the Samagi Jana Balawegaya’s (SJB) decision to revoke her party membership.
The former Minister’s lawyers had sought to withdraw the petition, citing that Gamage did not intend to proceed with the case.
The SJB expelled Gamage after she voted in favour of the 20th Amendment to the Constitution in 2020, contrary to the party’s unanimous decision to oppose it. (Newswire)
