Colombo (News 1st); Withholding and concealing vital information leads to issues in controlling the spread of the Coronavirus said Director General of Health Services Dr. Anil Jasinghe, adding it would also be an issue when administering treatment to COVID-19 patients.
Dr. Anil Jasinghe emphasized if a person suspects he or she has symptoms of COVID-19 which are a Cough, Cold, Throat Ache, and breathing difficulty, Medical Experts must be consulted before visiting a hospital.
Expert advice can be obtained by calling the emergency helplines 1999 and 1390.
Dr. Anil Jasinghe said people visiting hospitals without following these instructions causes issues for health workers in hospitals.
He further added, when people who visit the hospital provide a wrong address, it creates unnecessary issues as well.
