Emergency use of the Pfizer-BioNTech Covid-19 vaccine for children aged 12 -15 received approval from the UAE’s Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) last week.

With the implementation of the campaign, schools are rushing to get their students vaccinated.

Parents are required to provide a comprehensive medical history of their child and report if their child has a weaker immune system and/or has been sick or had a fever in the three days prior to receiving the vaccine, according to the DHA.

Although vaccines are available at drive-through facilities, clinics, and dedicated vaccination centres, residents are required to book an appointment in advance.
