The wife of Rohana Wijeweera, Chithrangani, has filed a Habeas Corpus petition before the Court of Appeal asking for her missing husband to be produced before Court.
Her petition called for Court to reveal whether Rohana Wijeweera is alive, as to date she has not received reliable information of his whereabouts.
Chithrangani’s petition calls for details of whether Rohana Wijeweera has been murdered.
She claims her husband was kidnapped by a group clad in Army uniform 29 years ago adding she has not received information pertaining to Rohana’s whereabouts to date.
Accordingly former Major General Janaka Perera, former Inspector General of Police Hamilton Wanasinge, former Secretary of Defence Cyril Ranasinghe, the Attorney General including eleven persons have been cited as respondents in the case.
