Director General of Health Services, Dr. Asela Gunawardena reiterates that even though certain Covid restrictions were relaxed, including allowing limited religious activities in places of worship, all functions are still prohibited, except for weddings.
He further said that if required in the future, the police will be informed of those who are organizing other functions violating Covid guidelines.
The Health DG insisted that the threat posed by the Covid pandemic is still not over and general public should always be mindful about this.
