All heavy vehicles will be prevented from entering the Galle Road from Kollupitiya Junction and Ceramic Junction, police said.
The decision has reportedly been taken due to the protests organized by the Joint Opposition in Colombo.
Severe traffic congestion has already been reported at certain entry roads to Colombo owing to the protest marches which are reaching Colombo through different directions.
