A fake notice bearing the logo of Sri Lanka Police and containing instructions to be followed by people to increase the spread of the Covid-19 virus has been circulating on social media.
Police Media Spokesperson, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Ajith Rohana says the Police had not issued such a document.
The Computer Crimes Division of the Criminal Investigation Department has begun investigations into the matter.
