High-risk areas in six districts are under red warnings as persistent rain places vulnerable communities under pressure.
Landslide warnings issued on Monday cover ten districts, with Level 3 red alerts applying to specified areas within Galle, Kalutara, Kandy, Kegalle, Nuwara Eliya and Ratnapura. The bulletin runs until 4 p.m. today, September 22, unless revised.
The red-alert locations include Neluwa, Walallawita, Pasbage Korale and several divisions in Kegalle and Nuwara Eliya, together with Ratnapura. These are warnings for identified localities, not a declaration that every part of the six districts faces the same danger.
