The Education Ministry has decided to include the subject of Law into the school curriculum from next year, W.M. Balasooriya, senior Director of Education speaking at a meeting of school heads of the Kurunegala District said yesterday.
As per the instructions of Education Minister Dinesh Gunawardena, Law would be integrated into the subject of Civic Education for Grades 6 to 9.
This decision has been taken by the Education Ministry to create law-abiding and disciplined citizens, and to educate students on their duties and responsibilities towards the country and society, Balasooriya said.
