The price of a 12.5kg Litro Gas domestic cylinder will be increased from midnight today (26).
The price of the 12.5 kg domestic gas cylinder has been increased to Rs. 4,860.
Earlier today, Litro Gas Lanka had urged the Government to consider revising the prices of domestic gas cylinders.
The Chairman of the company said there is no option other than to increase the prices of gas for continuous supply.
He further added that the Government must take a decision to revise the price of gas cylinders.
The company pointed out that the cost of a gas cylinder is Rs. 5,500 in line with the current rate of the US Dollar.
Sri Lanka’s primary gas dealer added that it is incurring a daily loss of Rs. 250 million by selling gas under the existing prices.
