Sri Lanka has issued a 02-week travel ban on passengers from 06 Middle East countries starting Thursday (01 July) due to the prevailing Covid-19 pandemic.
The travel ban will be in effect from 0001hrs on 01 July until 2359hrs on 13 July (Local time in Sri Lanka).
Passengers with a travel history in the past 14 days to the following countries will not be permitted to enter the island;
- Qatar
- Saudi Arabia
- United Arab Emirates
- Oman
- Bahrain
- Kuwait
However, passengers on transit from the above-mentioned countries will be permitted to land in Sri Lanka.
