The Sri Lanka Police has launched a special operation to arrest anti-maskers, said the Police Media Spokesperson Senior DIG Ajith Rohana.
Anyone found without a facemask in public can be arrested without a warrant, he noted
All police stations have been informed and issued orders to take strict action against those who don’t wear their face masks in public, while more than 53,000 individuals have been arrested for not wearing face masks in public since the last October.
