Sri Lanka Army has appointed a six-member Court-of-Inquiry to probe Wednesday’s grenade explosion in a passenger bus in Kahagolla, Diyathalawa that injured 19 people including seven Army personnel and 5 Air Force personnel.
Army Commander Lieutenant General Mahesh Senanayake has appointed the high level six-member Court of Inquiry (C of I) of senior Army Officers, chaired by Major General Rukmal Dias, Commander, Security Forces – Central (SF-Cen) and Colonel Commandant, Military Intelligence Corps (MIC),
The Court-of-Inquiry will look into all aspects related to the explosion, the Army Media Unit said.
Local media reports said the grenade was in a bag belong to a soldier.
The Court of Inquiry is expected to submit its findings and the report within a few days to the Commander of the Army.
