Sri Lanka Police acting on information received had arrested three suspects transporting 159 kg of Kerala Ganja (Kerala Cannabis) in Mannar.
Officers of Police Narcotic Bureau division of Mannar during a raid conducted on a tip-off arrested the three suspects Thursday afternoon in the Savariyapuram area with 159 kilograms and 393 grams of cannabis in six gunny bags.
The three suspects aged 38, 28, 29 are residents of the Silawathurai area. They will be produced before the Mannar Magistrate Court today.
The Police Narcotic Bureau unit of Mannar is conducting further investigations.
