Sri Lanka will sign an agreement with Government of Oman to avoid Double Taxation and a Memorandum of Understanding on exemption from visa requirement for holders of Diplomatic and official service passports.
The Cabinet of Ministers has granted approval for a proposal made by the Minister of Finance and Mass Media Mangala Samaraweera to enter into an agreement between Sri Lanka and Oman on avoidance of double taxation and the prevention of fiscal evasion covering the areas pertaining to interest, royalty and profit motivation on shipping services.
The agreement is to be inked in anticipation of enhancing economic relations and corporation between the two countries.
Sri Lanka will also enter into a Memorandum of Understanding with Oman on Visa Exemption for holders of diplomatic, Special, Service and Official Passports.
The cabinet has granted approval to the proposal made by the Minister of Internal Affairs & Wayamba Development S.B. Navinne to enter into the MoU between Sri Lanka and Oman.
