A person who was arrested in Panadura yesterday (06) for violating quarantine law had succumbed to the injuries he suffered after jumping out of a Police Jeep while being taken to the Police station.
The 48-year-old has been identified has severe drug addict.
Police media Spokesperson says the Police Sub Inspector and the Police Sergeant have both been interdicted.
The Superintendent of Police has launched an investigation into the incident.
