Two more suspects deported from Dubai

Two more suspects who were arrested along with underworld leader ‘Makandure Madush’ in Dubai have been deported to the country this morning.

The two individuals had arrived at around 4:55 am in flight UL 226, the police spokesman SP Ruwan Gunasekara said..

Police have identified the suspects as M.S. Mohamed Shiyam, 48, a resident of Colombo and W.L. Rajitha Perera, 40, a resident of Kamburupitiya.

The Criminal Investigations Department (CID) have arrested the two suspects on their arrival at the airport and they are currently being questioned, the police spokesman said.

Dubai authorities on 4th February arrested 31 suspects including Makandure Madush and remanded them until March 28. Eight suspects have been deported so far and had arrived in the country.

Makandure Madush is also expected to be deported to the country within the next few days.
