The Police Special Task Force (STF) says an underworld gang was involved in shooting Dehiwala – Mount Lavinia Urban Councillor, K. Ranjan Silva, in Ratmalana .
A senior officer of the STF said information has come to light a group working for underworld criminal “Anju” had carried out the murder.
It has been revealed the gunmen had used a white coloured vehicle.
Ranjan Silva, 62, was killed in the shooting that was carried out in Ratmalana.
