The UNP and the SLFP are to commence discussions on carrying out the work of the unity government.
Discussions between the two main parties of the unity government are to commence today.
It is learnt that the discussions have been organized with the blessings of President Maithripala Sirisena and Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe.
The representatives of the two parties are to discuss a mechanism for the efficient functioning of the unity government until 2020.
