Yoshitha Rajapaksa has been arrested by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) in Beliatta in connection with allegations of illegally acquiring assets.
The arrest comes after he was recently questioned by the CID regarding a disputed land in Kataragama.
Further details on the case are yet to be disclosed.
