Sri Lanka Police have arrested a suspect wanted for financial fraud following an investigation by the Colombo Fraud Investigation Bureau.
Police said the suspect was arrested following a lengthy investigation in response to a complaint lodged at the Colombo Fraud Investigation Bureau regarding a Rs. 2 million fraud.
The 54 year old Bangladesh national identified as Rahaman Fauser was arrested Thursday afternoon in the town of Narammala.
The suspect is to be produced before the Fort Magistrate’s Court today. Colombo Fraud Investigation Bureau is xonducting further investigations.
