The Interpol had issued notices for the arrest of two Sri Lankan underworld leaders, who are believed to have fled the country, the Police headquarters said.
The Interpol on a request from Sri Lankan Police has issued a red notice on 33-year-old Jagamuni Sujeewa De Soyza alias Kosgoda Sujee and blue notice on Samarasinghe Arachchige Madush Lakshitha alias Makandure Madush.
According to the police, Kosgoda Sujee has been involved in a number of contract killings and other crimes including drug trafficking. Madush is believed to be a major drug trafficker.

However they are believed to be operating from overseas through a network of their local accomplices.
It is reported that the police will request to issue Interpol notices on several others of their underworld network who have fled the country and are operating from overseas.
