The JVP is expected to present the proposed 20th Amendment to the Constitution that will result in the abolition of the executive presidency.
JVP leader Anura Kumara Dissanayake has said the amendment will be presented to the House this week.
According to Dissanayake, the Speaker will be asked to table the proposed amendment to the House and fix a date at the earliest to debate it.
