New guidelines for weddings and worship places expected

The Director-General of Health Services Dr Asela Gunawardena is said to use a new set of revised health guidelines on Covid-19.

According to the Army Commander General Shavendra Silva, the new guidelines will consist of several revised regulations including lifting a number of restrictions.

The newly revised guidelines will allow a limited number of people to attend weddings, which has been banned under the existing guidelines, while they will permit the reopening of places of worship, with a limited crowd, under strict adherence to the health guidelines, the Army Commander further said.
