A list of revised restrictions have been issued for weddings and funerals due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
Army Commander General Shavendra Silva said only maximum of 25 people are allowed to attend a funeral at a time.
If a wedding hall has a seating capacity exceeding 500 seats, , a maximum of 150 people are allowed to attend the wedding, he added.
A maximum of only 100 guests are allowed if the wedding hall has a seating capacity of less than 500.
All state festivities will be postponed until 1st of next month, the Army Commander noted.
