Sri Lanka Freedom Party Parliamentarian Dayasiri Jayasekara says the Free Trade Agreement signed with Singapore has a negative impact on professionals in the country.
Speaking at a media briefing in Colombo MP Dayasiri Jayasekara said the government signed the Free Trade Agreement arbitrarily without consulting professionals.
Parliamentarian Dayasiri Jayasekara noted the Free Trade Agreement should be signed after it is tabled in Parliament adding the government should consult all factions before signing such agreements.
MP Jayasekara said several professionals expressed their concern over the
agreement and requested the government to hold talks with various factions before reaching an agreement.
He stated the government is attempting to sign the ETCA agreement in the same manner adding all forces will unite to take action against the government’s move.
