Sri Lanka calls for bids to purchase three Container Handling Cranes for Jaya Container Terminal

Sri Lanka has called bids to purchase three Container Handling Cranes for the Sri Lanka Ports Authority (SLPA) run Jaya Container Terminal (JCT) at the Colombo Port.

In line with construction of stage 4 of Jaya Container Terminal (JCT) at Colombo Port, Sri Lanka Ports Authority (SLPA) has invited sealed bids to procure three units of Ship-to-Shore Container Handling Cranes (goods) and the supply of related services (work), through International Bidding.

According to the SLPA, procurement of three ship-to-shore gantry cranes would enable the JCT to handle simultaneously two 330 meter length ships.

The filled bidding documents are to be delivered to the Chairman, Cabinet Appointed Procurement Committee, Ministry of Ports and Shipping, No. 19, Chaitya Road, Colombo 01, Sri Lanka on or before 14.00 hrs 22nd February 2018 (Sri Lanka time)
