Sri Lanka postal workers trade union, the United Postal Trade Unions’ Front says the strike launched on Monday will continue indefinitely until their demands are met.
The convener of the United Postal Trade Unions’ Front Chinthaka Bandara said the trade union action has received the support of all employees of the Postal Department.
The workers of 24 postal trade unions resumed their strike yesterday (11) at 4.00 pm. The strike action based on seven demands including the permanent placement of postmasters and the recruitment procedure.

Postal workers who join the strike stated the strike will continue until their demands are met.
It has been reported that Postal services have come to a standstill due to the strike.
