The second Cabinet reshuffle of the unity government will take place on Thursday, February 22, state media reports.
The reshuffle is to take place according to an agreement entered into between the two parties in the unity government- the United National Party (UNP) and the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP).
According to the government sources, under the agreement there is no change in the portfolios divided between the two main parties. However, the subject areas will be reshuffled.

Meanwhile, it has been learnt that the Law and Order, Highways and Finance ministries under the United National Front will see changes while changes will be made in the fisheries and aquatic resources, Science and Technology, Sports and Agriculture ministries under the Sri Lanka Freedom Party.
