Sri Lanka President seeks support of PM to punish the perpetrators of Central Bank bond scam
All the parties, including the Prime Minister should support the legal process to punish those who were involved in the Central Bank bond fraud, President Maithripala Sirisena says.
Addressing a public meeting held in Kandy on Monday (22) the President said all people of Prime Minister's party as well as the opposition party should support to strengthen him instead of weakening him in this endeavor.
The President said that the SLFP members blamed him when he left the then government in 2014 and now the UNPers are blaming him, but he did not betray anyone and he was only working against corruption, theft, waste, and autocracy.
