The market was down 2.14 % on ASPI and 2.47% on S&P SL 20 on a very low turnover of RS 2.07 billion indicating that sellside pressure was reducing while the mkt prices were coming down. However the daily uncertainty on fuel shortages effecting power supply and now the sudden cabinet reshuffle is spooking the investors and the 1% rate hike today was speculated yesterday in the . market hence the down trend close. The market may see more investors leaving due to the shocks we have seen locally and the fears of the war in Europe. However we still see the value counters having collections at these discounted prices . Overall the news of central bank expectations of fuel price and electricity rate hikes will have a mixed outcome in the market .
