21 individuals who attended a wedding ceremony in Aluthgama have tested positive for Covid-19.
The infected are identified as residents of Payagala, Pothuwila and Kalutara areas.
A man who attended the wedding ceremony had tested positive for the virus, hence the other guests present were subjected to Rapid Antigen Tests which confirmed that 21 individuals including had been infected with the virus.

31 more individuals had later tested positive for the virus via Rapid Antigen Tests carried out on 21.12.2020.
The latest cases were identified after the close contacts of the previously infected were tested for the virus on Thursday (Dec 31).
