General Secretary of the United People’s Freedom Alliance Mahinda Amaraweera stated that the 68th Convention of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) will be held at the Sugathadasa Indoor Stadium on 2nd September.
He said that as the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) a number of decisions are to be taken at that time and the future political agenda of the party will also be announced.
Addressing a press conference held at the SLFP headquarters yesterday (01), MP Amaraweera said that until the convention is held there is no need to announce the SLFP’s presidential candidate.
SLFP National Organizer Duminda Dissanayake, Western Province SLFP Chief Organizer Gamini Thilakasiri and Nuwara Eliya District Organizer Roshan Gunawardena also participated in the media briefing.
