The central committee (CC) of the SLFP will be summoned when President Maithripala Sirisena returns to the country, MP Dayasiri Jayasekera said.
He told the media that the CC would be summoned to make a final decision on whether or not the SLFP should remain in government.
Jayasekera explained that the UNP led by Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe could form his own government without the SLFP since he has 122 seats in the House.
