It is said by the Police that the priest had organized the event violating restraining orders issued by the Jaffna Court and courts in the North-East prohibiting such commemorative events.

The priest will be produced in front of the Jaffna court today and is to be charged under the penal code on the violation of court orders and creating racial tensions.
