The Ministry of Petroleum Resources Development says there is no shortage of fuel in the country. Deputy Minister, Anoma Gamage, noted that enough and more fuel is present in petroleum stores.
The deputy minister also pointed out that a fuel tank will arrive in the country within the next couple of days.
Meantime, the Secretary of National Employees Union’s Petroleum Corporation Branch, Ananda Palitha, said the current shortage of fuel is a result of a reduction in distribution of fuel since the last two days.
