All Ayurveda hospitals to be kept open during the curfew

The government on Tuesday announced that all Ayurveda hospitals will be kept open despite the curfew imposed due to COVID – 19.

The Presidential Task Force on Essential Services said coriander, ginger, and tree turmeric (venivel) would also be imported owing to its demand against the backdrop of the virus.

The task force which has been mandated to ensure that essential services are supplied, had decided to permit atleast one registered Ayurveda shop in each divisional secretariat to provide mobile services.

Doctors registered with the Department of Ayurveda have also been permitted to treat and inspect patients at their homes if required.

Meanwhile, the medicine of patients registered with the Ayurveda Department will be delivered to their homes with the assistance of the Postal Department, the task force noted.
