A complaint has been filed against an Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) of the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) accusing him of having kidnapped the wife of an Officer-In-Charge (OIC) of a police station in the Gampaha Division.
The OIC cites in his complaint that the ASP travelled in his official car on the Kandy road along with the OIC’s wife, which had been tailed by the OIC. Later the car had entered a house belonging to a businessman in Dalugama, Kelaniya.
An argument had ensued between the OIC and ASP, which resulted in the OIC filing a complaint with the Kiribathgoda Police Station.
The Kiribathgoda Police are carrying out Investigations at present.
