Ukrainian airline, SkyUp Airlines is to operate a charter flight to Mattala Rajapaksa International Airport (MRIA) today bringing the first group of tourists from the Ukrainian capital Kyiv.
The first group of 200 tourists will arrive from Mattala International Airport today (28)will be staying only at seaside tourist hotels in Bentota, Beruwala and Koggala, former Sri Lankan Ambassador to Russia, Udayanga Weeratunga said.
215 members of the second group will arrive in Sri Lanka on the 29th on a Ukraine International flight
Tourism activities will be carried out in a manner without mixing with the local public.
He further pointed out that one tourist spends between 100 and 150 US dollars a day, excluding hotel fees.
