Former Opposition leader of the Western Provincial Council Kithsiri Kahatapitiya has passed away.
The former Parliamentarian has passed away while receiving treatment for COVID-19.
He had been receiving treatment at the Kotelawala Defence Hospital over the last 20 days during which he had passed away last night (09).
Kithsiri Kahatapitiya was over 60 years at the time of his demise and served as the Samagi Jana Balawegaya’s (SJB) organizer of the Bulathsinhala area.
