National People’s Power (NPP) Member of Parliament (MP) Asitha Niroshana on Friday (24) alleged in Parliament that there was a political ‘deal’ between Bar Association of Sri Lanka (BASL) President Rajeev Amarasuriya and Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa.
Speaking during the parliamentary debate, the Colombo District MP claimed that BASL President Rajeev Amarasuriya had held discussions with Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa last Thursday.
Niroshana further alleged that Premadasa had promised Amarasuriya the Chief Ministerial candidacy of the Western Province at the upcoming Provincial Council election in exchange for his support
