United National Party Parliamentarian Hirunika Premachandra says she will request the Police Financial Crimes Investigation Division to conduct an investigation into the accusations levelled against her pertaining to alleged financial misappropriation.
Speaking during a media briefing held at the party headquarters Sirikotha, MP Premachandra said the request will be directed to the FCID through her Attorneys.
The Parliamentarian noted the request will be made to determine the base of allegations levelled against her.
MP Premachandra stated she will decide on further action to be taken against media institutions that spread false statements following the findings of the investigation.
While vehemently rejecting all accusations levelled against her the Parliamentarian stressed she has not placed her signature on any document amounting to Rs. 20 million
