40 individuals and 23 bikes were taken into custody by the Mirihana Police last night.
The motorcyclists were taken into custody for riding unlawful motorcycles that violated the rules of Department of Motor Traffic pertaining to bikes in Sri Lanka.
The chassis of the bikes had been altered and the engines were legal capacity.
